How we handle what you share with Plum St. Funding.
Effective October 2026 · Applies to the Funding Fit Check and project inquiry forms on plumstconsulting.com/funding/
Plum St. Funding is the funding strategy and grants operations practice of Plum St. Consulting LLC ("we"). This notice explains, in plain language, what our funding-page forms collect and what we do with it. It is written to describe what actually happens, not to cover every hypothetical.
The Fit Check runs in your browser
The Funding Fit Check questions are answered and the preliminary guidance is generated entirely in your web browser. Nothing you type into the Fit Check is sent to us unless you choose Email me this summary and tick the consent box.
What we collect, and when
- Emailed Fit Check summary (optional). If you request it, we receive the email address you enter, your name and organization if you provide them, your Fit Check answers (organization type, location, sector, goals, what's in place, size and timing, and any project description you typed), and the preliminary guidance shown to you.
- Project inquiry. If you send one, we receive your name, organization, email address, the service you selected, your goal or problem, timing, budget range, and your description.
- Technical details. Like any website, our web server records standard connection information (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) in its access logs. Our funding-page forms do not set cookies and do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
- Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and the page that requested the font. We do not receive anything from that request.
How we use it
- To send you the summary you requested, and — because the consent box also covers this — to follow up with you about that request by email.
- To review a project inquiry, decide whether a service fits, and respond with next steps. Sending an inquiry does not create an engagement or schedule a meeting.
- To keep an internal record of inquiries so we can respond consistently. Inquiry details may be recorded in our internal client-tracking system.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Submissions are delivered to us by email through our web host's mail service and may be stored in our business email and internal records.
Consent and marketing
The consent box on the Fit Check covers two things: emailing you the summary, and contacting you about that request. It is not a subscription to a newsletter or marketing list. If you would rather we not follow up, say so in a reply and we will stop.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and summary records for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain our ordinary business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below), and we will do so unless we are required to keep a record.
Your choices
- Use the Fit Check without sending us anything — the results display without an email address.
- Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing chris@plumstconsulting.com.
- Tell us to stop contacting you, at any time, by replying to any message from us.
A note on the Fit Check itself. The guidance it produces is automated and preliminary. It is not an eligibility determination, a confirmation that any opportunity is available, or a prediction of funding. A funding consultant has not reviewed your profile unless you have purchased a service that includes that review.
Changes
If we change how these forms work or what we do with the information, we will update this notice and its effective date.
